Once I stopped dancing last year, I had little very time to spend on my blog or emails. With time, the emails got lost due to inactivity.

This has been rectified and all accounts are active again.

So much has happened in the past few months! I'm looking forward to getting back to Cleo's for a few daytime shifts. I wonder if anything has changed? Are the same regulars still there? Have the dancers changed much? What about the other staff like doormen, DJs and waitresses? So many questions!

I can't believe I'm actually a bit nervous about going back. I wish I had the budget to spend on some new snazzy outfits, I like the ones I have, I just feel bored with them and suppose the clients do too. Otherwise I'm still in great shape and haven't lost my pole trick abilities ;) But my feet and legs have gotten out of the habit of spending hours in heels dancing away, I'm curious to see how I'll hold up!

Hoping I'll bump into some friendly familiar faces :)

Private dances

I've written at length about stage performances and pole dancing in this blog, I thought it was about time I wrote more about the biggest aspect of working as a stripper: the private dances.

Since the entirety of my income at the club is dependent on my private dance sales, it is certainly in my best interest to offer high quality private dances! There are dancers who make their money by offering sub-par dances or even worse, with scamming techniques! It isn't long before these dancers income is affected by their poor choices and they either shape up or dissapear. This is especially true at Cleo's thanks to their many regular patrons who see right through such tactics.

There are two types of "private" dances offered at my club (and most others), the table dance and the booth dance. Table dances consist of the stripper performing at the customer's table/seat in the club, usually with the use of a portable micro sized platform. These dances are non-contact but fully nude including the removal of thong and are priced lower than contact booth dances. Then there are the private booth dances which are certainly the prefered type for both strippers and clients alike, save for a few exceptions.

Booth dances consist of a contact dance in a somewhat more private area of the club designated for such activites. The booth itself is a small 'stall' of sorts equiped with a chair for the customer to sit in and usually a small shelf to hold drinks. Some clubs don't close off their booths in any way, some do to a degree like mine with a black see-through curtain. Doesn't hide much from those intent on looking in but certainly a bit more private than none at all!

Which of the two do I prefer myself? Booth dances, definitely!

Why? For many reasons. I don't refuse to do table dances but I always warn those who resquest them that I'm not the best dancer for this type of request! Location of where the customer is seated in the club is a very important factor. Best places for me are the booth seats that line the walls and half walls because they offer ways for me to keep my balance along with different moves to offer. It could just be me but dancing on that little stool in heels is really hard without losing my balance! This obviously decreases my repertoire of 'moves' considerably. I also am not very gifted in the art of non-contact private dances so I feel awkward performing them. Add the fact that these are done in the open area of the club where all can see, not to mention the almost always present neighbouring customers oogling the free show. Then finish it all off by being paid less for such dances... I hope you can understand why I find them less desirable to offer and perform. It's certainly not an issue for me at Cleo's. Table dances aren't commonly requested or performed from what I've seen and experienced during dayshifts.

Now to answer the questions that most people are curious about!

What do I do during a private booth dance?

It depends highly on the person I am dancing for. No two customers are the same and what one person may enjoy, another will not. I first try to 'read' my companion at the beginning of the dance and feel out what kind of experience he is looking for. Generally, private booth dances fall into 2 categories: sensual style or sexual style.

Those seeking a sensual experience are looking to make more of a connection and appreciate the feminity and softess of women. Slow, unrushed dance movements with lots of eye contact and caressing. Body contact is high with me pressing myself in close and often including lots of hugging. There is more detail I can go into but I prefer not revealing all my tricks at once, hehe. While the general atmosphere of these dances is relaxed, things can definitely get pretty intense ;)

Those seeking a more sexual experience usually care less about eye contact or making a connection prefering groping and lots of grinding. Dance movements are fast paced and pretty much reduced to grinding. With the occasional change of positions these dances are pretty much just that. Most attempts I make to try and change things up a bit are met with resistance and redirected to more grinding. I don't mind it as long they understand my need to change positions often or taking a fews seconds break after a couple songs. Constant grinding is tough on the legs, especially on them quads.

Which style of booth dancing do I prefer?

Definitely sensual or mix of sensual with grinding. The biggest influence on what makes giving a private dance enjoyable though, is the person whom I'm dancing for. Pleasant disposition, good manners and respectful are traits that go a long way in my books. With such people, I'm happy to provide whichever type of experience they are looking for.

Madison

Busy bee!

A couple unexpected (but very welcome) projects came my way and took up a fair chunk of my time recently. It's nice to wake up the morning after without: strained/pulled muscles, achy joints, sore feet, etc.. Not that I complain much about those things when they do happen, I know full well that these pains are part of the 'job' ;) I don't think I will ever work a shift without my feet aching and earning a few bruises, hasn't happened yet and I certainly don't expect it to!

I've gotten used to these habitual work pains. The achy feet are pretty obvious because of the high heels, but I have the added luck of having tiny feet. This means that my feet accomodate the 4" incline of stripper heels much more sharply compared to dancers with average or large sized feet.

The bruising has decreased significantly over time but still remains a regular occurance, I've yet to come home after work without a couple fresh bruises on my knees. These always stem from the floor work segments of my stage sets. Pretty much any contact of my bare knees with the hard surface of the stage will do it, it really doesn't take much. I could use a blanket like some other dancers do but I find it to be more of a pain than the bruises! Besides, it never hurts when I do the things that causes them and thanks to arnica gel they fade away quickly in a day or two.

I'm sure I've mentionned how much I enjoy doing stage sets in earlier posts ;) I love it for many reasons. Good music + poles = me having a blast dancing and doing tricks! There's also a little part of me that's always wanted to be a performer, be in the limelight and entertain the audience with my talents. Although far removed from being a conventional performer, dancing on stage satisfies that itch in a strange way and adds to the fun. I figure since I'll never be a rock star or act in a play on broadway, I might as well make the most of the audience and stage time I do have!

I frequently receive compliments about my stage performances from both customers and staff. I'm quite surprised at the amount of positive feedback I get and appreciate it very much. I know that I invest quite a bit of effort in my stage sets and always do the best I can. I just never expected to have so much positive feedback! In the "stripper world" I'm still considered somewhat as 'new/inexperienced' since I have been dancing for less than a year and only on a part time basis. I've also received many positive comments and thumbs up for the stage music I choose.

So with my love of dancing on stage coupled with such awesome responses, I really put all I can into my performances regardless of how many patrons are in the club. A few customers have expressed concern that I'm pushing myself too hard when they see my bruises, some get worried that I could seriously injure myself with some of my fancier pole tricks. I think it's so sweet of them to care :) I try to reassure them that besides a couple bruises, I don't take big risks and my pole tricks have been very well rehearsed. They soon realise that I genuinely enjoy myself up there!

I know there is still much room for improvement and I'm always looking to better my stage sets. I'm working on some new tricks, improving my flexibility and adding some new moves. Besides it being fun, it's a fantastic workout!

I love this aspect of working as a stripper. In a strange twisted way, I get to satisfy the performer 'itch' in me by dancing on the stage of a strip club! Go figure!

Dancing again!

After an impromtu two month hiatus from dancing, I'm back at the club stripping again! It was nice to get away from the club for a while. I enjoyed some relaxing 'vacation' time and worked on a couple new projects.

I apologize for the long absence of blog entries... I love to write about my work experiences, share my thoughts and opinions on this work and the people I meet though it. But writing is very new to me and I've never writen anything before I started this blog. Writing never really appealed to me until recently and I didn't think I was good enough to write anything at all to tell you the truth. Starting this blog was a spur of the moment thing. I had toyed with keeping a diary of my venture in to stripping, I figured why not try blogging it.

Since starting this blog I've discovered a couple things: I enjoy writing much more than I expected, and I'm not as terrible at writing than I first thought. It's nice to see that my first attempts at this new interest of mine are going well and not a complete disaster! That said, writing is a new hobby of mine that still needs much work and is time consuming. I will try to post more often and consistently but please remember I write in this blog for my own pleasure first and foremost. I appreciate every reader that stops by, particularly those that visit regularly or take the time to comment and/or email ;) You make this so much more enjoyable and I thank you for that.

My first day back at Cleo's was this past Tuesday afternoon. I was happy to see a few regulars and get back into the dancing groove. I knew that since I hadn't danced in such a long time, I wasn't in prime dancing shape anymore ( it's amazing what a few weeks or even days of time off can do!). But I thought since I still had practiced at home now and then, it wouldn't be too bad.

I wasn't too far off the mark with my assumption, but was caught off guard by how much my stage set drained me. I managed the first two song set pretty well but was quite winded at the end with my legs starting to tell me that they were getting enough of a workout. I had a one song break to run downstairs to change and catch my breath before I ran back up for my last dance of the set. I had barely caught my breath when I started my last song.

Tried to take it easy and do fewer demanding pole tricks but I still just barely managed to make it through without looking like I was feeling! I finished up my dance and got off stage a few seconds before the song was done and managed to make my way downstairs to recuperate. Needless to say, it took a few minutes!

I discovered that the club acquired a new DJ during my absence who was working that shift. So far not great from a dancer's point of view but it was the first time I worked with him and apparently he is new to the club and type of work. He played some interesting choices during breaks songs (when no dancer is on stage) and that was a nice change from the same old songs we hear so often. I hope that he learns be more flexible with the stage rotation like other DJs, it benefits both the DJ and dancers. Stage rotation favors = tips so both sides are happy.

Otherwise the day was pretty quiet... I thought it to be one of those days but after speaking to different staff members, I learned that it's been this way pretty much since I worked there last. This news is depressing to hear because I love working at Cleo's. It's not the nicest club by any means but it's homey and the staff personable. The fact that it was also the busiest club in town during dayshift made it a great place to work. If that's changed though, I have to look into other options.

I'm thinking of giving nightshift a try, most likely at a different club. I'm curious about the new Kingdom Gentlemen club that opened very close to Cleo's but I've heard mixed reviews and mostly that the club isn't busy. I'll probably check it out one day but will wait a while to see if it starts picking up first. My first pick so far to try a new club with nightshift is L'Axe. I'm open to other suggestions though so don't be shy to let me know yours!

In the meantime, I'll be working dayshift tomorrow at Cleo's. Ciao!

Madison

P.S. I'm still behind on my email, I haven't forgotten or ignored anyone and will be getting back to you shortly!

Last minute news

I will be back at work today after a two week hiatus. This leave from dancing was thanks to a nasty chest cold that really knocked me out. I'm quite happy to be feeling well again and look forward to hitting the stage at the club today :)

It will be interesting for me to see the difference at the club with the smoking ban in effect. I am looking forward to this new work environment as I myself have kicked the smoking habit, yay!

More to come soon, I'm off to work :)

Madison

Other Strippers

One of the trickier aspects of working as a stripper is managing inter-dancer relationships. In my experience, any group of women working in close quarters is bound to have it's fair share of dramatic outburst and cattiness, regardless of their occupation. I've experienced it in many different contexts and have observed general female group social dynamics as well as some most interesting drama. In a socially accepted environment, it's already hard to avoid certain problems within a female group. In the stripping business, it can be exponantially tougher because the profession attracts and employs many persons with various personal issues (i.e. emotional, psychological, substance abuse, bad relationships, low self esteem, etc, etc.).

In any female group, save for the very small ones, there are always cliques and sub-groups. Women that belong to a certain clique will almost uniquely socialize within their group and ignore everyone else. The only time they will talk with others is when the other members of their clique are absent or busy. It's as if they would get in trouble with their peers for socializing outside the group, lol! Other cliques have superiority complexes, acting like they are the best and everyone else is *insert explitive here* to them.

Depending on the club, cliques are more or less of a problem. At Cleo's there are a few but the majority of dancers are friendly regardless which is nice. Since we have a larger amount of dancers working per shift than most other clubs, it allows the opportunity for more distance between dancers and to find someone you have more in common with. Also with a bigger rotation of dancers, I'm never working with the same exact women all the time. From my experiences, the inter-dancer relations at my club are quite pleasant and certainly exceeded all my expectations in that area and continue to do so.

Since I started stripping, I've observed many different types of dancers and their various work methods. Each has their own little way: Getting their look together with hair, makeup and outfits; Their stage performances and song selections; The way they interact with customers and sell private dances; What they do when they're not busy; etc. Some dancers have their act together and are fantastic entertainers. Unfortunately a fair number of strippers I think should either take a break or retire, at the very least re-examine their work methods.

I hear numerous complaints from fellow dancers every time I work about how they are not making money. These "complainers" have been dancing for a few years, probably a few too long and are jaded. It's always the same comments with them regardless of how busy the club is: "It's dead, there aren't any clients.", "I haven't made any money, no one is buying dances.", "The customers here today are all jerks.", "It's quiet and I'm not making money because of the weather (too nice out or too rainy), or because of the construction, etc." Of course, their lack of dance sales can't be related to something that they're doing wrong! Such thoughts never cross their minds strangely... I wonder if it's some kind of denial or something, it must be.

These complaining dancers boggle my mind because their dancing income is an obvious reflection of their work methods. Yet, they refuse to think that the problem lies with them or the way they choose to work. They invest as little energy and effort into their work as possible but expect to earn the same as a dancer who does the opposite.

They come in to work and spend over an hour in the dressing room getting "ready" before hitting the floor. Their lengthy preparation ritual usually comprises of chatting up fellow dancers and wasting time. Some don't bother doing anything to their hair or using makeup to improve their look and the lack of care in their appearance is obvious. Not to mention that they wear the same outfit everytime they work adding to the uninspired look they portray. Their stage sets are equally stale, dancing to the same songs day after day for months on end or longer, all the while looking most uninterested while performing on stage.

These dancers also waste a large chunk of their workshift downstairs in the dressing room or bathroom. It seems to be their favorite spot to meet and complain among themselves or vent their lack of success on whoever else is down there at the time. I've gone down to the changing room a few times near the end of the shift to see them sprawled out, complaining about how bad money is today during the busiest part of the day...

On top of all that, their customer approach is terrible! They walk around with sour faces and clearly display their lack of interest. I see them approach customers: straight faces, bored and offering they're services... They don't get invited to sit with customers very often (usually they invite themselves to a table) and most often they start complaining to the customer about their crappy day or some other personal issue.

And they have trouble selling dances? Hmmm.... I wonder why?!?

Then there are what I refer to as the "partying" strippers. These dancers also complain that they don't make much money selling dances but aren't anywhere near as negative as the dancers mentionned above. They've also been dancing for some time but continue to invest some time and effort into their appearance to various degrees. A bit of diversity in their outfits and song choices could be recommended, some could do with changing up their stage routines as well. I can't make any reproaches about these dancers on their shows though. They seem to enjoy it and have fun interacting with the audience a lot.

Off stage, these dancers will zone in on customers that are in a very festive mood, preferably a table with more than one patron. As long as drinks are regularly provided, they seem more than happy to stay at the table drinking and horsing around, often for hours. When partying customers are lacking, they drink amongst themselves and have their own private celebration. Consequently at the end of the shift they are drunk, sometimes very incapacitated.

When working the floor to sell private dances, these strippers have a good approach with customers. They take time to chat with patrons and then win them over with their high spirited and playful attitudes. Unfortunately, since partying is seemingly their prefered activity at work, it undoubtedly affects their earnings. Either they lose out on selling private dances or they end up spending their earnings on more alcohol.

It doesn't surprise me to hear them complain now and then about not making much money. At least they don't complain much or often and are usually always in a good mood. Sometimes the hard part is resisting the urge to join in their fun because I know that I'd have a great time unwinding and celebrating with them. I just don't feel right doing so at work and it's definitely not a habit I want to start.

Another type of dancer I see frequently is the "I'm so hot" pretentious type. They take great care in their appearance, polishing their look and style to it's fullest potential. Naturally attractive, they provide more variety with their look and performances by changing their outfits, song choices and dance routines. They've mastered the appearance aspect of stripping very well, maximizing that element impressively. Sadly, many of these dancers feel that just being very attractive is all they need to sell dances.

With their beautiful looks, they never have problems attracting customers. Selling private dances is another story though. They don't smile much and don't put much effort in conversations or anything to close a sale. They give the impression that anything more than looking pretty and offering private dances is a chore and that they are above having to "work" a customer. From my observations, the majority of these dancers' sales techniques consists of them approaching customers one after the other with a flat "Wanna dance?"

I'll often hear them complain about how they're not making as much as they want. Of course to them it has to be because of all the other dancers give extras. Gosh darn, you don't have to do extras to make money but you do need some good sales and customer service skills. Duh...

I've had the luck of crossing paths with some great dancers while working at Cleo's. Their ages and amount of experience varies but their pleasant demeanor and sensible approach to this job is clear. They are fun to work with and to talk with when time permits.

They take good care of their appearance and put a lot of effort into their stage performances. They offer more variety in their looks and stage shows with different outfits and music selections. Friendly and engaging with the customers, they do very well earning their money while having fun at the same time.

As co-workers, they are a dream to work along side with compared to other types of dancers like those mentionned above. Their reasonable approach to this business especially applies to how they interact with other dancers and they avoid negative people as much as discreetly possible. They stay away from drama and problems situations and I've never seen a great dancer be the cause a stir. I appreciate these women immensely because they are level-headed and fun, not petty, jealous, dramatic or gossip mongers like some others.

As it is with many other things in life, it's easier to talk about the negative side of things. This doesn't mean that I have more unpleasant co-workers than nice ones, just that they tend to leave a more lasting impression. My interactions with other dancers at work is fairly limited. I come to work prepared and only needing a few minutes to get changed. I keep my visits to the bathroom and dressing room "to the point" and avoid getting caught up in lengthy conversations.

It's not that I don't enjoy socializing with fellow dancers but I'm not there to have fun, I'm there to work. In a very lax working environment like a strip club, it's easy to let yourself get distracted or caught up in something fun and lose valuable time. No one is there to tell you to get back to work or check your overall performance and sales. Those with little or no self-dicipline end up taxing their bodies faster with alcohol, drugs and/or not eating right on top of decreasing their earnings.

So I try to manage my work time effectively and focus on what I'm there to do. I'm happy with my on the job performance though I know I still need to work on a few things. The results speak for themselves with my earnings and repeat customers so I must be doing some things right ;)

Madison

Chronological list of journal entries

I've created this post to offer you my past journal entries organized in a simpler way. I think it's only fair to talk about the good guys and share the fun experiences I have at work too! By far, I meet and spend time with a lot more nice guys than disagreeable ones. I also consider myself lucky to have a fair number of charming regulars that are always fun to chat with and dance for.

Good guys come in all types, they can be older gentlemen or younger students, some are on the wealthier side of the fence while others aren't. White or blue collar workers, some struggling to get ahead in their jobs others trying to get their own businesses going. Tall, short, slim or hefty they all share some very important character traits: they are respectful, polite and are looking to have a nice time.

Simple right? One would think so... But the biggest lesson I've learned since I started working as a stripper is that to many men, a strip club environment is exempt from normal social rules and they feel permitted to act like rude assholes.

No way would these men have the nerve to act the way they do towards women outside of the strip club environment. In their heads, the mere fact that we choose to do this type of work entitles them to act innapropriately. I can't say how many times I've been interrupted completely by surprise finding myself groped hard on the ass or tits by a hand coming out of nowhere and from someone I've never seen before. That's just a mere scrape of the type of rudeness and impolite behaviours dancers get pelted with everytime we work.

So the nice guys are a true blessing and wonderful customers to chat with and dance for. Obviously, spending time with these nice customers makes my work so much more enjoyable and they are the ones I care to please the most. It's much easier to warm up to a gentleman that is respectful, polite and is looking to unwind and have a good time. For me, it's a pleasure to make them forget about everything else for a little while and give them some very memorable dances :)

Many won't believe me when I say this but it's absolutely true for me: The amount of money that a customer spends on me has absolutely no bearing on how good of a client I think he is. I don't care if a client visits the club to spend a thousand bucks or if he's just there to drink a beer and watch the stage show. What I care most about is how customers treat me, not how much money I can squeeze out of them. I can earn my living just fine, I'm not so desperate as to do anything I don't want to for a mere few dollars.

I have many "favorite" patrons at work, some I dance for regularly others I haven't danced for at all privately. Besides being nice gentlemen, I feel I have a little rapport with them that makes me very comfortable and I like spending time with them. With time and repeated encounters, I've gotten to know some of these gentlemen and it's always a delight to for me to see them again. Some I've felt close enough to exchange personal stories with, often discovering some common points of interest.

A couple of my so-called favorites, I've barely spoken with if at all! How can they be favorites of mine, you ask? Because they are great stage watchers and I love having them sit by the stage when I'm performing my set :)

I love dancing on stage and even moreso when there are people appreciating my show. These guys are regulars to the club, stopping in at the end of their work day for a beer and to watch the stage a little while. They are quite attentive and obviously appreciative of a nice show. They often interact by making eye contact, smiling and clapping. They'll notice a new song choice and dance move, they'll sometimes compliment me on or off stage. How can I not like these guys!!!

Another reason that will put someone in my favorite customer category is someone who appreciate a nice sensual private dance and is unrushed. I have no problems with grinding and giving a good contact lap dance, I just prefer those customers that enjoy a softer more sensual approach.

A great customer is one that has no specific expectations, he's looking forward to having a good time and is realistic about what he's getting. He enjoys private dances for what they are: a pleasurable fantasy experience meant to distract him from the real world for a short while. He appreciates my services as a diversion from reality, not to lose touch with it altogether. He understands that however pleasurable and intimate our interactions are, I am a dancer and my purpose there is to entertain him.

Such clients that are realistic and appreciative of the entertainment and diversions I provide are precious to me. They allow me to enjoy my work to it's fullest potential and they always brighten up my day.

A big thank you to my regulars and all good strip club patrons, without you I certainly wouldn't have lasted very long or have so much fun dancing :)

Madison

"You can't be serious!" volume 2

It's time for another installment of my "You can't be serious!" work experiences. In case you missed the first chapter, you can find it here. I'm happy to report that it took a while to accumulate more of these stories as I have had more good encounters and experiences than bad ones.

"Mr. Twit" is a regular to the club, not a hardcore everyday guy but I usually see him once or twice a week. He shows up near the end of the dayshift, I assume he passes by after his workday to unwind a bit like many others do. He looks like an average white collar worker, clean cut and usually wearinig a suit. If I were to guess his age, I'd say mid to late forties.

I had noticed him in the club many times before but never had the chance to speak with him until a couple weeks ago. Either I would be busy or he was already chatting with a dancer. From the little bit I had observed in those occasions, I noticed he never sat down. He always stands near the bar or the half-wall around the VLT machines, sometimes he'll walk around a bit.

One day a couple weeks ago, I'm at the bar getting a glass of water when I see him alone. I figure it's a good time to stop by, introduce myself and say hi. He responds with more enthousiasm than I expected! He says a big leery hello and simultaneously puts his arm around my shoulders pulling me toward him with gusto. The move surprises me, completely throwing me off balance in my heels and I scramble not to fall over. He just responds by laughing at me and continuing to pull me towards him hard, this time from the waist!

I am quite unhappy and manage to wrestle away from him. I tell him to be careful and that I could easily break an ankle falling in my 6" heels. He just laughs it off without any apology and continues to try and grope me. This all happens in about 45-60 seconds and I've had more than enough, if he did want dances he was now out of luck because I was leaving. I start to wish him a nice evening and leave when he grabs me again, leans in and sticks in tongue straight in my ear and starts going at it!!! EEEEEWWW doesn't even come close to expressing how revolted and grossed out I was by this. I push him off me as hard as I could then bitch him out while walking away as quick as humanly possible.

Needless to say, I won't be going anywhere near "Mr. Twit" again. I don't even want to think about how he would behave during a private lap dance... Yeesh!

I have nothing against a customer touching me or giving me a hug, but this kind of manhandling is the best way to make me (and almost every other dancer) run as fast away from you as possible. Also, suddenly sticking your tongue in a dancer's ear forcefully is another great way to tick her off in a very short amount of time. I debated bringing up the issue to the doorman but figured that this kind of thing is bound to happen now and again and I'm sure there have been far worse transgressions than this one at the club.

"The drunken team" a french Canadian father and son duo celebrating via an afternoon at my club with lots of booze and supposedly strippers. Both from out of town, they spoke with thick regional Quebecer accents and were dressed very casually, a smidge on the unkempt side. The son appeared to be in his late thirties to early forties while his father was probably somewhere between 65 and 70. I had noticed them early on in the day seated at a table near the stage. I saw many dancers stop at their table to chat with them, some for quite a while but I didn't see any of them get dances. I figured they were at the club to watch the stage shows which is perfectly fine in my opinion and went on with my shift.

Near the end of the shift, I was pretty tired and I sat down in front the DJ booth on the dancing stools to rest my feet and watch the stage show for a few minutes. The father and son duo were still there and had decided to move to a different table in the club. It was then that I saw how drunk they had gotten, the father could barely stand, certainly couldn't on his own and the son was having trouble with his own balance which made the table change take a good 10 minutes. It was quite entertaining watching them try to move from one place to the other and there were plenty of stumbles along the way and near falls. Had it not been for the help of some other people around (staff and other patrons), I doubt they would have made it there at all.

Once settled into their new table, they apparently decide then to have some girls dance for them, at least they were somewhat realistic and wanted table dances. I observe the son set out to find dancers for their entertainment needs. A couple dancers refuse his invitations before he finds one that will accomodate him. I watch her do her thing and it's not long before she ends up having to fight back the duo's attempts at groping her. She finishes her dance and they're done, I see her exchange a few words with the son and leave in a huff.

The son sets out to find another dancer to entertain him and his dad. After a couple more refusals to his request by my colleagues, he makes his way to me. In the worst drunken slurring voice I've heard to this day, he tries to ask me to dance for him. I'm amazed he was still able to stand and walk around because it took him several attempts to spit out a half a sentence.

I refused to dance for him, it's the first time I've ever flat out said "no" to a customer. There is just no way that I would dance for people that intoxicated. After having to repeat myself a few times, he finally stumbled off to ask other dancers. I later spoke with the dancer that did the one table dance for them. She told me that after she was done her one song, they wanted her to go find other dancers for them, they wanted a bunch of dancers to come and dance one song each and her to organize it all for them... How appealing!!!

"Little stud" a young man of short stature but certainly not short on ego, seemed pleasant enough at first. We chatted a few minutes before going off to the booths and he was a bit gropy, telling me that I need a boyfriend like him for X,Y and Z reasons. Sure...

Once in the booths the first dance went okay. Definitely not the most pleasant person to dance for but not terrible either, at least until that point. The second song starts and he starts to push my boundaries to which I gently redirect his actions in a more appropriate fashion. He responds by outright breaking the same boundaries and then some. The rest of the dance is me forcibly removing his hands from where I don't want them to be and telling him to quit it.

He chuckles and then tries to place my hands in his pants... That's it, I'm done. The second song is finishing anyways and I turn around to find my outfit and start get dressed. He tells me that he wants me to dance for him more songs and I turn around to see him, pants unzipped and fully exposed! I say "No, the dances are finished. You better put that thing away of I'll have the doorman come and help you out"

"Aw come on, I know you like it. I thought that's what you wanted?" he retorts. I look at him dead in the eye and I must have obviously not looked very pleased staring at him with my hand out. Good thing for him he realized that I was very serious and the best thing was to pay for the dances quickly and not say another word.

"Time Waster" was an older man I met recently. I was walking around when he asked me to join him at his table. He was nice enough and we chatted for a few minutes. He was very gropy too and it wasn't long before I offered to dance for him. He accepted but wanted to finish his beer first, okay. His groping escalated and I had to tell him to stop a few times, reminding him that private dances were available for that. A few more minutes pass and I'm trying to get started with the dances. I've been sitting with him for a good 15 minutes already if not more and put up with enough groping, time to close the sale.

I motion toward the booths and he nods. I start standing up and he tells me he wants to go to the washroom first, can I wait? No problem, I smile and say that I'll wait for him. He takes a while, and after a few more minutes comes back to the table. Finally we'll get down to the dances and I stand up heading to the booths nearby.

"I need to go to the ATM first" he tells me. "There's is one just there" I point out to the machine not 15 feet from us. "No, I can't use that one. My card doesn't work in it. I have to go out to my ATM, I'll be back in 15-20 minutes. You'll wait for me right? You'll be ready when I get back for dances, right?" he says.

I was so pissed off at that time that I just stared back at him for a couple of seconds in disbelief. He asks again "You'll wait for me, right? You'll be ready for me when I get back right?". I flatly tell him that I've waited for him plenty already and that I don't appreciate people wasting my time. I leave and go sit with a gentleman sitting nearby to chat, thankfully he is quite nice and soon invites me for a few dances which were quite fun.

After I'm finished with this nice customer, I see that the shift is almost over. Less than 10 minutes before we're all called on stage for the shift end finale Mr. Time Waster comes up to me. He tells me how upset he is that I wasn't ready and waiting for him when he got back 5 minutes ago. Why didn't I wait for him he asks and goes on about how dissapointed he was that I wasn't waiting for him...

Yeah well too freaking bad buddy.

"I want my dances now" he asks! I tell him it's too late and that the shift is over. "But it was you that didn't wait for me!" he replies... I can't believe the nerve of some people... Again, I just walked away from him at this point. No use arguing and wasting more time.

I've bumped into "Dick" a couple times since our first meeting. He's spoken to me once more since, this time to reaffirm that I had made such a poor decision not to come back to him the first time we met. Because of that one incident I was now losing oodles and oodles of cash that he would have spent on me. It's a shame that I made such a stupid decision and that now I'm suffering from the consequences, etc.

Sure... I've yet to see this customer get a lapdance. Oh yeah, I'm missing out big time... Enjoy the imaginary world you live in pal!

So there you go, a few more examples of the people I"ve met that I found less than enjoyable. I'm sure there can be much worse things than these experiences *knocks on wood* so it's nothing I can't get over within a few minutes and it's more stuff to write and laugh about ;)

Madison

Another fumble with my schedule

I am very frustrated with my landlord right now.

First I get a call early yesterday morning saying that he'll be passing by during the afternoon to spray pesticides. We've had a problem with small red ants since last year and the regular visits to spray have greatly reduced the problem, we're hoping it'll be completely gone soon.

Now, I have no problem with my landlord wanting to come by and spray. I do have an issue with last minute warnings though and because I have some pets I must take precautions every time that make the process a bit more complicated. Mostly, I have to find a place to stash them for a few hours while the vapors dissipate.

So yesterday morning after the call from the landlord, I run around clearing the areas that need to be sprayed (kitchen cabinets, pulling furniture away from walls, etc) and scramble to find a friend that can take my animals for a few hours. Of course this scraps my plans to go into work but at least I manage to be ready in time and have it over and done with. So I wait, and wait, and wait for the landlord and guy to come and spray.

They never came!!! By late afternoon, I call the landlord to be told that they weren't able to get there today and it would have to be done tomorrow. I am steaming mad at this point. Although I am supposed to have rights and demand a full 24 hour notice for such events, I've learned from experience that arguing such points with my landlord will only bring me more headaches and just isn't worth the hassle. I've had worse landlords in the past and in other regards this one isn't as bad, he upkeeps the appartments well but doesn't have much consideration for his tenants.

So here I am waiting for them, again. After speaking with the landlord earlier, I'm assured that they will pass by this afternoon and that I won't be wasting another day for nothing.

I'm really curious about how he'll react to seeing my stripper pole setup in the living room, lol! He hasn't seen it yet and I know it won't be an issue because it's installation is made not to leave any marks on the ceiling or floor. I am still curious to see if he's going to say anything or give me a funny look ;)

As for my schedule, I will most likely be going in tomorrow as well as Friday.

Madison

Gentleman's Choice: Mixed review

I decided to try working at a different club last Friday and decided to give the Gentleman's Choice Club a shot. I'd heard good things from many clients and a couple dancers about the club. This along with a comment left by a kind visitor to this blog mentionning that they can be more flexible in regards to scheduling made it an easy choice for a new place to try.

I called in last Thursday and spoke to the manager about working for them. Since I'm interested in working dayshifts, I inquired about relevant information and told them I would be interested in starting the following day if possible. I was informed that dayshifts were from 1pm to 7 - 7:30pm and that there was a 15$ "bar service" fee. This fee I was told would be waived if I showed up early and was ready on the floor at 1pm. Sounded great to me so I scheduled myself for the next day. One thing that surprised me quite a bit was that the only thing I was asked was my working name and a phone number to reach me. Not one question about my appearance or experience! A first for me when calling a strip club for work, I was especially surprised because it was a downtown club reputed to have attractive dancers. I figured they don't bother asking any questions and wait to see what you look like when you show up.

Friday morning I'm up early getting ready to be "on duty" at the new club and with plenty of time to spare so I can get familiarized with their setup and policies. I show up at 12:30pm (when doors open for staff) needing only to get changed to hit the floor. This is something I normally do when I work at Cleo's anyways because I hate having to spend time in the dressing room. I much prefer arriving to work with my hair done and makeup on, it then only takes me 3-4 minutes to change and start dancing.

So I arrive at the new club at 12:30pm sharp and ring the doorbell, no answer. A couple minutes later I ring again, no answer... It's already a bit embarrassing going into a stripclub, more so during the daytime because "regular" people are out doing their shopping or business. I get plenty of looks from people walking by as I head into the club, I've gotten used to it and around Cleo's it's nothing really eyecatching considering the other distractions nearby.

In the middle of downtown on a sunny day at lunchtime is a completely different story though! Especially when the door isn't opening and I'm standing there among a kazillion people walking around going to lunch or out shopping. Guys look at me and smile or oogle, while women give me looks of disdain. Both sexes quickly whisper their "find" to whomever they are with and the conversation obviously changes to something related to stripping and debauchery. Seriously, a flashing neon light above my head couldn't announce what I'm doing there any better.

I'm already nervous enough trying out dancing at a new club. I'm wondering how the setup and decor are like, how the stage and poles are, how the staff and other dancers will be like, etc. Now the door isn't opening and I'm standing there feeling quite awkward being gawked at by people passing by. A few minutes pass and I give a couple more rings to the doorbell... Finally someone else shows up wanting to be let in, 2 women who I later find out are the barmaid and waitress. I say hello and they ask me if I've rung the bell yet. I answer "yes, I did a few times" while thinking: no, I'm all done up standing here with my gear for the fun of being oogled, I love standing at stripclub entrances in the middle of downtown just for fun!!! Seriously girls, I know I'm blonde but I think I know how to work a doorbell...

They start talking between themselves and are soon joined by a young man who just looks at me for a second and joins in their conversation. He calls the manager who is in fact upstairs in the club and has been all this time telling him that they are waiting along with "some girl" to get in, he finally comes down to open up the door for us. Nice

I walk in with the others and stand next to the manager and doorman who are talking waiting for one of them to be free so I can ask where to go get changed. People are getting to their business and no one pays any attention to me whatsoever, I end up standing there for a good ten minutes while I half listen to the conversation (which incidentally is quite unimportant and uninteresting) waiting to get any attention from the manager. The doorman eventually finishes and wanders off, I think finally I can get some info and get started but the manager starts talking up the barmaid! I interrupt him and introduce myself mentionning my phone call to him yesterday. "Yes, yes" he said getting up and walking towards the booths, he points to the back and says "the door on your left, go up the stairs". I stumble around and find the dressing room to which he was referring to.

The changing room is nice, better than the one at Cleo's and I enjoy getting changed in this comfortable environment. A couple minutes later, I'm back downstairs ready to get familiar with the club. I don't see the manager so I head off to the DJ booth to bring my music CD and get some info from the DJ on how the stage sets work here. The DJ is very nice and pleasant, the first person in the place to show friendliness and help to me. He tells me a bit of how things worked there and we settle up my song choices for my eventual stage sets. I then took a little walking tour of the club, checking out the floor and seating areas, the stage and then the private booths and erotic beds area.

It's a small cozy club with comfortable seats and usual decor. Fairly well upkept, the stage appears quite nice from a distance. The large floor to ceiling mirrors along the back of the stage make it look bigger and doubles your viewing angles which I think is very nice. It's well lit with an array of different lights offering a variety of effect. That said, it's far from perfect and in my opinion, it isn't setup with the dancer in mind or practical. First, when you get a closer look, the stage floor is quite old and beaten up with a few cracks and small nooks, definitely not very smooth or even. I wasn't wearing anything very delicate so no harm done but I doubt a dancer could crawl that stage with nylons without catching at least one snag. The biggest dissapointment were the poles. There are two, one at each outer corner of the stage and are brass finish which is nice because it offers better grip than stainless steel. However they were much smaller than standard industry poles (which are 2") not a huge surprise but these were no more than 1 1/4" thick! Great for hand gripping but terrible for getting a good grip with legs.

I could live with that no biggie, just don't do certain tricks and focus on the ones I can do. What totally shocked me though, was when I physically checked the poles for stability: I like seeing how secure they feel to know I can throw my weight around them. One of the poles was loose and I could easily lift it up a bit! I didn't try to move it more than that or try to pull it out completely but I was stunned to see that it was so loose and obviously not very secure. I might be wrong and it is in fact well secured but it didn't feel like it to me at all. Needless to say, I didn't do any fancy tricks on that pole during my stage set!

When I visited the private booths, I was pleasantly surprised with their size and comfort. Not the most private but discreet enough to perform private dances with a customer pleasantly. They are situated near the front of the club's entrance and are nicely secluded away from the rest of the customers in the club. The booths themselves are fairly spacious with a comfortable bench lining the back. They don't close or have curtains and are set up in two rows, each facing a mirrored wall so privacy isn't complete if the booths nearby are being used as well. Occupants of booths next to each other or close by can see what's going on in the other easily by glancing at the mirrored wall. Not terrible by any means but it can be a little awkward to look up and see others "looking in" on you. Obviously planned this way for the doormen to keep an eye on what's going on in the booths easily, quite understandable ;)

So there I am in the club all set up, I feel a bit more comfortable having had a good look around and getting a bit of a feel for the place. The club is about to open to customers and I am ready for my day. My nerves are calming down, I feel a bit more comfortable being there and am ready to get down to business. As expected, it was a quiet start to the afternoon, it was at least 20-30min before anyone walked in and I contented myself watching a captionned Star Trek movie playing at the bar's television. A little while later walked in two young americans in for the day looking to have fun and get a taste of Montreal's well known pleasures, this time around they were stopping in a strip club or two and later on some clubs to explore our vibrant night life. They were nice to talk to but it was hard to help them get into the partying mood they were looking for with a dead club and only one other stripper than me at that time.

They asked me if I was going to be doing a stage set soon so after a bit more conversation I went to ask the DJ if he wanted to send me up for one. I don't mind dancing for just a couple customers even if I'm most likely not going to be making much money off them. If someone is interested in watching me do a set it beats sitting at the bar watching TV and not having a chance at making any dough. Besides, I like starting a shift with a stage set to get warmed up and in the mood. Yes, I know that probably sounded a bit strange, lol

The DJ informs me that it's too early for him to start stage sets seeing there are almost no customers in the bar and almost no dancers. I tell him I don't mind doing stage sets so I wouldn't refuse to do one later or extra ones if needed. He can't send me up for an "official" set but I am free to go up anytime to practice. Fair enough for me, I go back to sit with the young americans and wait for a not so hard rock song to play before going up for a "practice".

Remember, no one at this point has yet approached me to let me know anything about club rules or expected behaviour. The DJ was kind enough to get me aquainted with the way stage sets are organized and done here but otherwise, I don't know much about how this club works. For example, if I decide to go up on stage to practice when it's not being used. Can I still perform a full set for a few customers stripping down completely? Or am I just allowed to practice my dancing moves? I see the nice big sparkling mirror lining the back wall of the stage, can I touch it or lean into it during my dances leaving smudges? Or am I not allowed touching it at all? I didn't dare want to be the first one to leave smudges so I didn't touch it at all.

Finally a song I can dance to starts playing and I'm on stage to try it out for the first time and give the Americans a little show. It was a little awkward for me, the music being unfamiliar to me and the stage so different from the one I'm used to. The walk from one pole to the other is pretty far with absolutely nothing to hold on to (every stage I'd seen until then had had some other feature for the dancer to hold onto). Also, since I didn't want to smudge the mirror, I was scrambling to perform something decent with my impromptu set. I was also unsure as to how much clothes I was allowed to take off during a "practice" so I kept my thong and just flashed my breasts here and there. The young Americans seemed to appreciate my show and I got my first stage tip, felt really wierd lifting the side of my thong to let someone slide a bill there. It's a shame that stage tipping is so rare here. They ended up leaving after a little while, I don't blame them, the place was dead quiet and certainly not the fun happening place to be right then and there.

I spent a good while watching more captionned Star Trek movies at the bar as there was absolutely nothing else to do. A couple of men had walked in but were being entertained by a dancer already, I had introduced myself and chatted with one for a minute or two but it was obvious they were interested in spending time with the other dancer so I wished them a fun afternoon and went back to the movie.

A couple more hours pass and finally a handful of customers start trickling in. The DJ tells me he'll be starting the stage sets soon and that I'll be going up first in a song or two. Meanwhile I see a nice looking gentleman dressed casually, wait till he gets settled in with a drink and go over to introduce myself. A little chit chat and I'm off on stage to do my first "official" set. It went better than the first, dancing to my own music choices is much more fun and I can really get into it. With the stage being the way it is, I did more floorwork than I usually do and it was nice to be able to see myself through the mirror and have a better idea of what some of my moves look like. The stage at Cleo's has barely any mirrors, none that give a decent view of one's self and at home I only have a small dressing mirror to get a peek at myself during moves.

After my set, I went and rejoined the customer I had previously introduced myself to. It wasn't long before I was asked for a private dance to which I happily accepted.

Once in the booth though, the dance was harder for me as the rules at this club aren't as liberal as what I'm used to at Cleo's. Mainly that grinding is not permitted at all. Personally, I don't mind offering some grinding in my lap dances as long as customers don't expect marathon grinding for songs on end. So there I am, trying to figure out how to pace my private contact dances and working up each song while not grinding. The client seemed happy with the dances and we spend 6 songs together. As I'm finishing up the last song, I sit on the edge of the customer's lap and thank him for choosing to have dances with me. Suddenly the doorman shows up and says sternly "no sitting on the customer's lap!". I quickly get up and apologize, he walks off. I say my goodbyes to the client and head off to find the doorman to clear things up.

I ask him what all the rules are and he says: "no sitting on the customers, clients can't touch anywhere near the inner thighs they can only touch outer thighs, ass and breasts, no touching the customers anywhere."

I'm not allowed to touch a customer anywhere??? First I've heard in any strip club!!!

Wanting to clarify things further I questionned: "I'm not even allowed to touch a customer's neck or give a small hug?" He looks back at me annoyed, "well, I guess that would be okay but don't overdo it"

All I can think is wow...

The club is still very quiet and a few more dancers have showed up to work. Sitting at the bar, I get to overhear some strippers bickering and listen in on a bit of stripper-drama. One dancer is complaining to a second dancer about a supposedly skanky dancer #3. Dancer #1 first starts by attacking dancer #3's looks. "Oh she's so fat, two of my buttcheeks make one of hers *giggles*. I don't know what guys see in her, did you see her face? And that hair, oh my God, it's just so ugly and flat, I bet she cuts it herself! *giggles* She could at least put on some more makeup, come on, you gotta try ya know?! *giggles* The only guys that want a girl like that is because she has to be giving out more and being a whore. It's girls like her that make it harder for us to make money, by being a skank and giving freebies why should customers pay real dancers like us? *grumble, grumble*"

Now dancer #3 was the next to show up after me and has been there for a few hours in which I've had time to observe her. Yes she is a bit heavier but nowhere was she near being fat. She had a nice curvy voluptous body and wore an outfit to accentuate her best features. Her face was a bit on the plain side and the hair too, again nothing unattractive in fact she had a 'girl next door' look to her. Her stage performance was quite nice and when I saw her interacting with customers, she was very friendly and pleasant.

It was hilarious to me hearing dancer #1 complain and denigrate dancer #3 so much because she was making more than her. It was so obvious to me that dancer #3 knew how to maximize her potential and income while dancer #1 was solely used to earning money based on her looks. Dancer #1 continued her complaining and insulting game with dancer #2 who was agreeing and chiming in herself now and then. I left and went to chat with the DJ for a couple minutes to escape as the dancers were trying to get me into their little bickering game.

More time passes and the club is still incredibly quiet. About 8-10 customers have been through the door at this point from the beginning of the shift and I'm not too impressed with the daytime customer flow. I inquire to a few people that work dayshift regularly if this is a normal occurance or a holliday glitch, all answer me that it's about the usual, sometimes more sometimes less. Whoa! Doesn't sound like a great place to work dayshifts to me!

A couple more guys walk in and a dancer approaches me asking if I want to go see them together. Sounds good to me, then she tells me, "you get the one with the dark shirt, I'll get the other". We introduce ourselves and chit chat a minute or so, then each of us are asked for private dances, yay! Another visitor from the U.S. looking for some fun and he's nice to dance for. He enjoys 3 dances and returns to join his friend.

I check the time and it's just past six. An hour or so till the end of the shift and business still isn't picking up. I spend the rest of the time sitting at the bar, chatting with the DJ or watching TV. By 7:15pm, I was ready to head home. I ask if it's okay to get changed and leave to be informed that the dayshift ends at 8pm on Fridays and not 7 - 7:30pm like I was told on the phone. Great. Back to sitting at the bar waiting for time to pass so I can go home.

The manager comes up to me a few minutes later, "you haven't paid your 15$ bar service fee". I look at him puzzled, "but you said if I was here on time and ready on the floor by opening I didn't have to pay the fee". He then says, "I don't remember seeing you here at 1pm, are you sure you were ready at one???" looking at me intently. "Um yes, I was the first one here, you came to unlock the door for me, remember?" I said. He stiffens up and looks over his clipboard again, "I don't remember seeing you on the floor by one, are you SURE you were ready at that time?!"

I couldn't believe it, I was the ONLY dancer there at that time and was on the floor at least 5-10 minutes before they opened the door to customers. After informing him of this and telling him he can verify with the barmaid and DJ who saw me, he finally agreed to waive my fee and left huffing...

Finally 8 o'clock rolled around with no new customers entering the club and I headed to the changing room to get changed and on my way home. As I'm going up to the dressing room, the doorman stops me and asks "have you paid your bar service fee?". You gotta be kidding me.... I tell him no, that I don't have to and I already spoke to the manager about it. I go get changed and get out of there quickly.

So these were my experiences trying out dancing at the Gentleman's Choice Club. Will I go back? I won't say never but probably won't be back there very soon. I might give it another try during peak tourist season when daytime business should be better. Otherwise it just didn't seem like the place for me or anywhere near lucrative for daytime work. Also the very cold reception and being ignored most of the time I was there doesn't make me want to work for them much. Guess it just wasn't the place for me!

It could have also been a bad day or just that this club is best in the evening hours. For now I'll stick with Cleo's and keep looking around at new clubs now and then.

I'll be back dancing at Cleo's this week, I'm very much looking forward to it after this experience!

Madison

Not feeling so hot

Woke up this morning feeling pretty achy, not sure why though because I haven't done any rigourous practicing or other physical stunts in the last day or two. After a couple good cups of coffee, I'm still feeling tired and off. I hope I'm not coming down with anything... Of course this would happen to me just when the weather is getting nice.... *knocks on wood*

So I won't be in dancing today as planned... I hope that this is just a fluke and I'll be back in good shape tomorrow.

In the meantime, I'll post a couple more pictures :)

I love this second one, an action shot of me during a reverse grip spin!

Hope you enjoy ;)

Madison

This and that

I'm still not completely done with the new blog's look and features, but I am quite pleased with the changes so far and happy to get feedback. More fine tuning will be done over the next few days to get it just right ;)

Some may have noticed the return of the "my schedule" section letting you know which days I will be working next. Back by popular demand and since I will be dancing regularly again, the dates indicated are always daytime shifts at Cafe Cleopatra from 12:30pm to 7pm.

Although I currently have only danced at Cafe Cleopatra, I have been thinking of trying out a new club or two to work at. I love working at Cleos and am sure that I will continue to work there a good while but I figured why not look elsewhere too? I can work at two different clubs in the same week. I'm curious to see the differences between working environments and clienteles, but really hoping to find a club that offers shorter shift lenghts.

I find it comical that such a flexible job as being a stripper can be quite limiting in certain respects, at least in Montreal it seems. The standard workshifts at clubs in town is 11am to 7pm for dayshift and 7pm to 3am for evening shifts with slight variations depending on club hours and/or rules. On top of that, you can't work both dayshifts and nightshifts in the same club for some strange reason.

Personally, I find 7-8 hour workshifts to be quite long and exhausting. Spending that many hours in very high heels dancing on stage and in private dances, I assure you that after 5-6 hours my legs and feet are spent and getting sore. Also, by that time I've met and interacted with many different people and start to get drained. It's hard to stay upbeat and smiling when you're tuckered out ;)

In many other major Canadian and American cities, I hear of variable shift lengths being much more available if not the norm. I just find it strange and frustrating that Montreal has such a different and tougher shift length standard. I'm embarking on a search to see if there is any club that is relatively close to the downtown area that offers different shift or schedule options. If you are aware of such a club, please do share this info with me, it would be much appreciated.

Now I know that there are plenty of dancers that obviously manage with this shift and schedule structure and do so on a full time basis. I'm not saying that it's not doable or that it's an intolerable working condition, I just that I think it makes it harder on those of us dancers that do this part time. Not all dancers have the physical and emotional stamina to do this job full time well.

Ok, I'm done with my little rant :)

A little sample :)

Finally, a picture!!!

I'm still working on the blog's new look and feel, might take an extra day or two to get it the way I want it. I still wanted to post a little sample in the meantime so I hope you enjoy it and can wait a bit longer for more.

Here I am hanging off my pole at home, something that I do quite often :) This is the "leg-cross" inverted move that I've just added to my stage performances. Fun to do but trickier than other moves I've learned so far. I love that I can just hang on with my legs and do what I want with my hands. I also think it looks pretty darn good so I thought it would make a nice first pic.

Well I'm off to finish up little project.

For those interested, I will be working tomorrow (Tuesday) from 12:30 to 7pm.

Madison

Some changes are coming!

I'm overdue for writing entries into this blog, rest assured it's not from lack of material to write from ;) In fact, I've been to work dancing a couple times since I last posted and have a few stories to share from those experiences *wink wink*

So what are these changes I'm speaking of?

Well first, I am working on changing the look of this journal. I'm tired of it's boring template and am working on personalizing it to my liking. So don't be surprised when you stop by the next time and things look very different!

Second, the pictures are coming!!! I spent a good part of the day yesterday taking some new pictures and will have at least a few samples online this evening for your viewing pleasure :)

Third, there will be a few new blog entries that are long overdue!

So stay tuned, Madison Lace is coming back with a vengeance! ;)

Updates and ramblings :)

I'm terribly sorry for having neglected my online journal for so long. I also haven't been dancing much in the past couple months but both these things will change shortly!

I've been pretty busy lately with other work projects but things are easing up and I'm looking forward to the end of long hours working at my computer. I will also have more time and motivation to update this journal regularly again as well as more time to dance.

I'm very happy that the weather has been warming up recently and that spring is just around the corner. I can't wait to put away my winter wear and not have to be layered up so much! I look forward to taking out my summer wardrobe and shopping for a few new additions ;) Then the joy of being able to wear them out on warm sunny days: short skirts, shorts, cute tops, summer dresses, strappy sandals... ahhh, the anticipation is killing me!

On another topic, my pole tricks are slowly but surely coming along. I now have added my first inverted trick to my stage sets and a couple other spin variations. I'm working on another inverted pole trick which is coming along nicely in my practices, however I'm concerned that I won't be able to do them at work securely. The pole I have at home to practice on is the industry standard 2" stainless steel. The ones at Cleopatra's are different being 1 1/2" and not the same finish.

Now for all my tricks, this has been an advantage as the poles at work being slightly thinner, I get a better grip with my small hands. After I've perfected a trick at home, it's a breeze doing it on the poles at work. However, with this new invert trick the difference may be a dissadvantage. The new trick requires me to climb the pole and grip it with my thighs and lock the position with my knees crossed behind it. I then let go of the pole with my hands and lean backwards, my weight supported by the thigh grip which is heavily depedent of naked skin against the pole to hold the position. The smaller poles at work I would think gives less pole surface to grip to, something I'll only find out when I try it out there. Also, some other dancers use lots of lotion and the poles end up being slippery.

I love working on my stage shows and pole tricks and unlike many other dancers I love doing stage sets. But as clients have their pet peeves about how dancers perform their stage sets, I have pet peeves of my own about the clients that chose to sit at the stage or very close to it for a better view.

I try my best to perform an entertaining set, although I'm not the most experienced or athletic I do always try to improve my weaker points. The most important things for me are:
- Chosing nice music and dance to it in a way that goes well with it
- Enjoy performing my dances and conveying that to the audience, smiling :)
- Making eyecontact and interacting with customers near the stage
- Adding variety to my sets with different music and dance moves or pole tricks

Now, my pet peeves:
- Customers that look completely dissinterested. Not just for my stage sets, but for every girl's! They sit there looking at you with a blank expression or one of boredom. If you're not enjoying the shows, why are you there? If you do enjoy the show, why not show it with a little smile and maybe score a little more attention directed at you during the remainder of the set?
- Customers with a group of friends that chose to sit at the stage and then spend the whole time talking to their buddies and ignoring every stage performance. If you're having fun with friends and not watching the stage shows so much, why are you all sitting at the stage instead of a table a few feet away leaving the space for customers that do enjoy watching stage shows up close?
- Customers that want a conversation. While I'm onstage, it's not the time to chit chat. I love getting compliments and don't mind answering a quick question or receiving an invitation for a private dance after my set. Other than that, conversation should be done when I'm not on stage.

Now a question for you readers: What do you like in a stage performance?
Please answer by using the comment option at the bottom of this post, all feedback appreciated!

Last but not least, I will be working tomorrow (Thursday 16th) day shift, noon till 7pm!

Madison

Last minute!

Just a quick note to say that I will be in today between 1 and 7pm.

Sorry for neglecting my journal, things have been quite hectic for me lately and I promise to get back to this journal very soon!

Madison

Quick note

For those interested, I will be working this afternoon from 1 to 7 pm.

I've been very busy with a certain project the past couple weeks, I'm happy to say that it's finally complete and I'm quite satisfied with all the work I put in. So for the time being, I decided to remove that section from this online journal. When my schedule does stabilize, I will gladly revive that section. Until then, I will post as early as I can in the morning before I head off to work that day for those who wish to catch up with me at the club.

Why is my schedule so unstable? There are many reasons:

1. Because I can. Stripping is one of the few occupations where one can work whenever you want to. My club is particularly flexible in this regard allowing me to come in on which ever day I choose, working how many or little shifts I desire. It's really hard to resist taking advantage of this great job perk!

2. Part of the reason I do strip is because I enjoy it. I would like to keep it that way! That means the mood I'm in on the days I work is a very important factor. I like going to work feeling well rested, in a good mood and feeling social. I like to feel sexy and look forward to my work day and the people I will meet.

Some days I'm in a good mood but not feeling very social or not like the sex kitten I can be. I just not in the mood to go into work that day for that or other reasons like the other personal projects I'm working on. I'd rather not go in to work on such days knowing I'm not going to be at my best.

3. The preparation time in getting ready. Stripping isn't like regular jobs in terms of the physical appearance requirements. Since every part of your body is exposed and on display, it's important to look your best everywhere. This means hours of prep time before heading off to work and some even the night before.

4. Other personal projects. Obviously, stripping isn't the only thing I do! I do have other ventures that keep me busy, some business and some hobbies. As much as I enjoy dancing, I know I won't be doing it forever. I want to use the advantages I have with stripping now to get me somewhere further and have something to fall back on.

All of these factors play into my schedule and work availabilities. Many customers ask me about my schedule and when I will be working next. I've tried setting certain days but have found it hard to be very reliable and I hate dissapointing people this way. However, I feel this is better than going in to work on days that I'm not up to par and then have it reflect on my attitude and performance. I'd much rather be at work feeling 100% and having a great time than being there, not at my best and dissapointing customers in another way.

I hope this helps explain my fluctuating schedule a bit and show you my side of the matter.

Madison

A great day

When stripping there are a few things that help make my day better. Usually it's something like: making good money, being in a good mood to work and meeting nice people. But once in a while you can get surprised by something out of the usual and even if the rest of the day isn't great, that one special thing makes up for all the rest and then some.

I was off to a good start when I got into work today because I was in a pretty damn good mood! It's not rare but it's great to have days like this for work none the less :) A few minutes after I'm all ready and on the floor, I notice one of my favorite regulars there in his usual spot and without company so of course I go sit and chat with him for a while.

We catch up a bit and all is well when he says "did you notice that your favorite dancer here is also free? how about I have her dance for you like I promised?". Sure enough, I turn around to see the beautiful Cindy alone and available. Needless to say, I didn't hesitate a moment about taking my friend up on his offer so I run off to catch Cindy before someone else does!

I invite her over and I find myself shy saying that I want her to dance for me, my friend helped explain to her that the dances were for me and that I'd been eyeing her for weeks. (Yes, I do get shy around babelicious women, even strippers!) Cindy took over and boy was I left reeling!!! This girl is SIZZLING!

Many have commented on her body before and I definitely was an admirer myself since the moment I had first seen her. But to have her so close to me touching me was heaven. Very sensual and teasing, she sure knows how to push your buttons and get your motor running, lol! After the dances, I was beyong hot and bothered!

Whew, just remembering the experience is bringing quite the smile to my face :) Good times indeed

So even though I made the least amount of money I've ever made in a work shift, I must say it's still one of my best days working at Cleo's yet. Even better, the people I spent time with today were all great company and fun to be with. Sometimes, money isn't everything!

I'm a bit late with the pictures, my apologies... I hope to have them up as soon as possible, promise ;)

Madison

I'm back!

*** Just realised that the date posted with this blog entry isn't accurate... It was supposed to read Thursday, January 20th instead of last Friday. Sorry for the mixup! ***

Yes, I will finally be back to work this week starting today! I'm over my second cold of the season and hopefully it will be the last. I'm sorry not to have posted much in the past week but I was enjoying a break away from the computer as well ;) Nothing like staying in bed and taking it easy to get over a cold.

I did manage to squeeze in a few more pole practice sessions in the past few days and I'm still having a blast learning new tricks. There should be a new trick or two in my stage sets that I haven't done before and a few more will follow soon once I have them down pat. Please note, this is why I have some bruises on my legs. Not as many as the first couple of weeks after I got my pole thankfully! The funny thing is, I rarely feel the incidents that cause the bruises, I only notice them appear a while after I'm done with my practices.

I had a feeling that I would enjoy learning pole tricks and have fun with a pole of my own to practice in private. I never thought in a million years it would be this much fun on top of being an incredible workout! For example, with one trick I work every muscle in my arms, shoulders, abs, legs and probably more I'm not aware of. A variety of tricks mixed with dancing to good music: it's the most challenging and fun exercise workout I've ever experienced.

On a more tantalizing note for my dear blog readers, I am planning to have pictures taken this coming weekend. These will be posted here for your viewing pleasure early next week.

Madison

Why I started stripping

My apologies for not going in to work today as planned. I'm currently engaged in a fierce ongoing battle with insomnia and during the last couple nights of fighting, I'm sad to say that I was defeated and am trying to recuperate as best I can. Not to worry though, I plan to be ready for tonight's bout and finally get some decent rest!

In the meantime, I thought I'd write about why I started stripping. It's certainly the question I'm most often asked ;)

Before I started stripping this past fall, I had a very normal job working as a receptionnist. I had been doing office work for the past few years and each job was as boring as the other. I'm not saying it was horrible but it certainly wasn't very interesting. Combine that with low pay and very rare opportunities to move up, I was ready to do anything different. Unfortunately, without much education other than my secretarial degree, there weren't many options to find work in a different field that would be better.

So how in the world did I think of trying stripping? It's a combination of many things. First, a strip club is certainly not foreign to me, in fact I very much enjoy having an evening out with friends in one and have done so many times in the past. I always admired the dancers for being so pretty and sexy and loved watching them perform on stage. Admitedly, even from the start I always wished I'd be bold enough to try it. I'm a pretty open minded person and enjoy being a sensual being, why not try working in an avenue that would let me explore that side?

Two or three years back, I gave it a first shot. Danced for the first time at a small local club, one that I hadn't visited before but I was looking for something small to start and this one fit that description. The experience was mixted. Although I was quite nervous, I much enjoyed dancing on stage and managed to do so without any big goofs. The rest of the shift wasn't as great. Very quiet with very few customer and I was very shy about approaching anyone in the first place. Ended up leaving with just 30$... It wasn't bad but it certainly didn't have me very interested in giving it another shot.

I tried a second time soon after at a larger club that I had visited before as a customer. I did a bit better that time and made more money, about 100$ if I remember right, but I didn't like the atmosphere of the club at all. The staff were quite cold and I couldn't wait for the shift to be over. I didn't go back to that club either and figured that dancing probably wasn't for me after all.

So I went back to office work and forgot about dancing for a while. Last fall, I was at the end of my rope with my employer and quit my job to look for another. During the job search I was getting quite depressed at the idea of doing the same dreary office work as I had done many times over at different places and thought about dancing again.

I started reading up on it more through the internet and really got interested about giving it another try. After a week or so, I called up my club and asked about getting a job. I showed up for my interview and first shift and loved the experience. This time all was going great! I liked the club and atmosphere, enjoyed dancing and my first shift ended up being better than I could have ever anticipated.

And that was that! I knew that night when I got home that I would be doing this for a little while. It was far more enjoyable, paid quite well and a great way to stay in shape. On top of it, my club has a very very flexible schedule which I admit, I enjoy the benefits of :)

Madison

What outfit to wear?

I have to admit that I don't have a large stripping wardrobe. Since I haven't been stripping long and do so part time, I've been able to get away with my 2-3 outfits so far at work without drawing much attention. I've also noticed a few other dancers wearing the same thing often, so I figure clients don't focus on the variety of a dancer's outfits much.

I'm getting a bit bored though and am looking forward to getting new outfits for work. But what to choose? There are thousands of styles and colors to chose from! With so many online retailers, the choices are endless and affordable. So far I've only purchased outfits from local sex shops. I prefer being able to see and try thing out in person but the selection and prices leave much to be desired.

So far I prefer 2 piece outfits. My current ones are a schoolgirlish set with a white top and plaid short skirt, my favorite outfit. I also wear a cropped long sleeve velvet top with either short shorts or skirt. I have a cute little green dress I've been meaning to give a try, I just don't like the matching thong. I might give it a try at work tomorrow.

Any advice or suggestions on outfits are most welcome!

Madison

Fly in the soup

Unfortunately, I won't be in to work today as I had planned... Completely forgot about a dentist appointment I had. I rather get it over and done with today than push the torture session back to another day.

I should definitely be back to work this Friday or Saturday, I will confirm the exact day(s) tomorrow.

Although I currently only work day shift, I am looking into the possibility of working some night shifts. My club has odd rules regarding this issue, as a dancer, I have to choose between day shift or night shift work. They don't allow a dancer to work both shifts on different days. I'm curious to know the reasoning behind this rule and I know there are a few exceptions made.

I have to find out how to become one of those few exceptions! It would certainly help my work availability :)

Madison

Happy New Year! + My work prep ritual

I hope everyone has had an enjoyable holiday season, best wishes to all for the new year. Myself, I spent a nice new year's eve at my favorite sushi restaurant in good company, then opted for a quiet evening in to celebrate the passing of the new year. This is my favorite way to celebrate new years after the madness of Christmas!

I was hoping to be ready to get back to work this Tuesday but I have slacked off over my holiday "vacation" and don't have enough time to be catch up on my work prep to be ready today. I know most understand that it can take some time for a woman to get dolled up, I'm not certain that they always realise how much is involved! I'll give you an idea of what goes in to my work prep:

Tanning: It's practically a requisite to being a dancer. Never imposed but unless you have a goth look or are lucky and look great with milky white skin (usually dark haired ladies), a tan is almost a necessity. I myself enjoy having a bit of a tan. My skin is quite pale and with my blonde hair, I feel I look washed out without any color. That said, I prefer a light to medium tan. Just enough to give me a more healthy natural glow. Even with a light tan, I've gotten comments from a couple customers about how pale I was and that I needed to tan more!

Wanting to prevent skin damage, I get tanned via self tanning products. They work quite well but unfortunately are a pain to deal with and very time consuming. A self tanning procedure goes like this (done the night before you want your desired tan):
1. Shower and exfoliate skin = 30-45 minutes
2. Dry well and apply protective cream to certain areas (feet, hands, elbows, knees) = 20-30 minutes
3. Apply tanning lotion uniformely over entire body (while wearing latex gloves) and manage to do my back with many uncomfortable contortions = 30-45 minutes
4. Wait for product to absorb and dry completely before putting on pyjamas = 15-30 minutes

Next morning: shower to shave and remove stinky smell of tanning lotion = 30-45 minutes.

Pedicure: 1-2 hours

Manicure: 30-60 minutes

Hair: 1-2 hours

Makeup: 15-60 minutes

As you can see, it can take me quite a long time to get ready for work! I have much to catch up with and will be spending today dolling myself up to be ready for work on Wednesday :)

I will be making some little changes shortly to the blog so my schedule will be more readily accessible for those who are interested in knowing which days I work.

Madison

"You can't be serious!" volume 1

Working as a stripper, it's inevitable that I meet some very strange people and have equally strange experiences. So I present to you my first installment of "You can't be serious!" in which you'll find stories of my strange or bad experiences at work.

"Esclave" approached me during a shift when I wasn't busy and politely asked for a dance. He looked very nice and was polite and friendly. French speaking (France accent) and a bit fidgety, I start my first private dance with him and all starts normally and is going well. Near the end of the first song, he starts letting me know that he enjoys being dominated. Going into more details, he explains that he much desires humiliation and genital pain (both nipples and groin). Above all, what he would really really appreciate is me to spit on him, anywhere I wished but mainly on his face...

I'm not a fan of spitting and personally think it's a pretty disgusting habit and one of the "ugliest" thing a woman can do. On the other hand, I do have experience in fetish and BSDM play so I understand what he's looking for. I don't mind fulfilling some of his requests so the next few dances I spent insulting him, spitting on him quite a bit, pinching and twisting his nipples as well as kicking him and kneeing him in the groin. Certainly not your typical lapdance!

He kept asking me to kick harder and such but there are limits to what I will do. I won't risk injuring someone in the process of fulfilling their fantasy. He then requested I urinate on him which I absolutely refused to do, in a strip club booth no less!!! That is just so wrong on so many levels! He tried to convince me to pee in a glass so he could drink it but at that point I had had more than enough and bid him farewell after collecting my dance fees. I heard later from other dancers that had danced for him and it was pretty much the same story each time... Some people get their rocks off with really strange stuff!!! lol

"Gropy" is a young man that I've seen come in a few times now and try to avoid as much as I can. The first time I met him was on a slow day and I offered to sit with him for company. The conversation went straight to him trying to meet me outside the club and me being the perfect girlfriend for him, bla bla bla... All the while groping me and pulling me close to him tightly. I pushed him off and told him to slow down and he relaxed for a bit. As I decided to say goodbye and move on, he asked for a dance.

I danced for him that time 2 songs and he knocked himself out groping me silly. The whole time dancing, he also spent trying to convince me to be his girlfriend and how he's perfect for me, etc... I was happy that it ended quickly at 2 songs and didn't intend to dance for him again, just too unpleasant to deal with. I've seen him a few times since and manage to avoid him for the most part. I just can't stand the super gropyness and endless convincing talk.

"You wish" I started chatting with one afternoon, a seemingly nice older gentleman. He quickly turned the conversation to lap dances and started inquiring about how good mine were. "I only like getting good lapdances, most of the girls here are okay but you got to watch with the new ones..." he said looking at me suspiciously. I replied with "I can tell you all the things you want to hear but you'll only know if you like my dances when you try them".

He goes on to say that he loves eating pussy and that he would really like that. I told him that was a definite no and then said that if that's what made a lap dance good for him that we won't bother at all. I was getting up to leave and he said "no, no, it's okay. let's go for dances and see". We head for the booths and get settled in, I'm closing the curtain and hanging my purse up on the hook and turn around. Well at that moment, this guy grabs me by my hips, pulls my thong off to the side with one hand and bends down to try and get a lick!!!

I couldn't believe it! I had just clearly said that it wasn't going to happen at all and he didn't even wait for the song to start or anything, just went straight for it! I pushed his head back and expressed my disgust and told him off some. He got an air dance for the rest of the song and then I was done, I collected and left. Unbelievable...

"Dick" is a somewhat of a regular face at the club coming in, usually around happy hour. Another dancer and the DJ warned me that he was annoying and never got dances, not to waste my time on him. On a quiet day, he came to sit with me and started chatting.

It wasn't long that I figured there was a good reason why other dancers didn't like him, he acted like a know-it-all and was just being a dick. He even said himself that he doesn't get along with most of the other dancers but according to him, it's all their problem of course. During our short conversation, he mentionned he wasn't looking to get dances, just wanted to hang out and chat a bit. I stayed with him another 2-3 minutes before I went off.

An hour or so later, he comes up to me upset and angry. "Why didn't you come back? I waited for you all this time to get dances". I'm stunned and tell him that he never invited me to come back to see him or imply that he wanted dances from me, in fact he had said that he didn't want dances at all that day". He then started arguing that he didn't say those things and that I was confused or had a problem! The kicker is that he finished by saying it was my loss, that he had waited long enough and didn't want the dances anymore.

Hahahahahahahaha! Like I would have danced for him after that! He's tried to talk to me since but I am always "busy", sure as heck don't want to deal with this wierdo again.

"Mr. Bull" I met once, had offered to sit with him for some company and started chatting. Early in the discussion, he said he wanted dances from me but just had gotten there and wanted to drink his beer first. No problem with me and we negotiated a 30 min private dance for a little while later when we were ready.

I ended up chatting with Mr Bull for a good half hour. Aside from the private dance negotiation, he spent the rest of the time talking about how "different" he is from other men. He said he'd like to see me outside the club on a strickly platonic basis and that he's really not into sex or wanting it from me. He goes on and on saying that sex isn't important to him at all, that he waits at least a year in a relationship before having sex, bla bla bla...

Eventually, we head to the booths for our private dance session and get settled in. After closing the curtain and hanging up my purse I turn around. What do I see? He's sitting down comfortably with his pants undone and his dick completely exposed!!! This after all the talk about sex being so unimportant to him and the last thing on his mind... When he saw the expression on my face, he clued in that what he did wasn't a good idea and redid his pants up. The dance was okay but not another word was said and I couldn't wait for the time to be up, probably one of the longest half hours in my life! I'm just amazed at the amount of bullshit this guy spewed during our chat and how quickly his true motivations showed themselves. I'm still trying to figure out what the point of his bullshit talk was supposed to accomplish?!

Well there you have it, my first "special" experiences. I'm sure there will be more volumes to come soon!

Madison

Can I take you out on a date?

I'll write about a subject now that comes up surprisingly often in my work day:
Clients wanting to see me outside the club

When I first started working, I expected these questions to come up and knew they came with the job. I certainly wasn't prepared to confront them on such a regular basis! Roughly 75-80% of the men I meet during a work shift will ask me such a question, both from some that have had dances from me and even a few from some that haven't and don't intend to!

The requests vary from simple coffee or lunch dates to evenings out on the town with dinner and entertainment. Some get right to the point and want to meet me in a more discreet environment for extra services or for the same dancing services I provide, just more privately. Then there are those who are desperately looking for a relationship and want me to magically fall in love with them within minutes and run off with them... Of course, lets not forget those irresistible men that try to land a stripper for an awesome free fuck and bragging rights!

As with these requests, the intentions behind them vary just as much: men desiring a friendly, business, intimate or romantic relationship with me outside of the club.

In any respectful conversation, I am never offended by clients asking to see me outside the club for whatever reason, in fact I think of it as a compliment. I figure that a person making such a request must find me attractive and enjoyable company to spend some time with! However, what I do have a problem with are men that don't take a polite no for an answer and then spend the rest of the time trying to convince me otherwise... I tend to not stick around very long when conversations turn this way, certainly not a tactic that works, lol!

When I first started stripping I decided that I wouldn't pursue relationships with clients outside the club. Being completely new to this business, I thought it was best to avoid the delicate and complex aspects of outside the club relationships on all levels. There are many different reasons for this decision, here are a few examples:

- Friendship relationships: It's hard for me to know if this is truly your sole intention. I'm a stripper and we met at my club during my workshift which is also the only place I've gotten to know a little about you. I've danced for you in a sensual and erotic way for X number of times to which you've expressed much enjoyment and pleasure. Now I am to believe that you honestly only desire a platonic friendship outside the club.... I know that there a select few gentlemen that are sincere with such intentions but they are unfortunately vastly outnumbered by men with different intentions using a "friendship" relationship as a ruse to try and get more.

- Business relationships: I am not opposed to the idea of offering my dancing services for private shows. In fact, I am currently gathering much information of the subject to see if this is a service that would be possible for me to offer in the near future. As for intimate services other than dancing such as those offered by escorts, I am sorry to say that I do not offer such options.

- Intimate/romantic relationships: I am currently happy with my life and social circle and am not looking for such relationships. Even if things were different, I have to admit that the chances of me hooking up with a patron of my club are very unlikely.

Now, although I don't see my club's patrons outside of work, I can give you some ideas and suggestions of what I think might work for some dancers that do occasionally meet patrons outside the club.

- Buy a few dances from the stripper you're interested in. Those who do not have very little chances, girls just don't sit and chat long with clients who don't have them dance. With such little time for interaction, convincing a stripper to see you outside the club is virtually impossible. Buying a drink is better than nothing but if she hasn't had the chance to see how you are during a private dance there's no opportunity to get a better 'feel' for you other than a little conversation.

- Make your request in a discreet and polite fashion then gauge her response. If she is offended chances are obviously very unlikely, lol! If she politely declines without saying why, you can inquire a bit more but do not push the matter or try to convince her otherwise. Just state your desires and intentions and leave it at that. If she agrees, then great! Just be careful not to expect too much that the meeting will take place as planned, many agree but don't go through with it for various reasons.

- Don't expect much on a first meeting. Those few strippers that I've seen occasionally meet patrons outside the club are selective and almost always make arrangements with men they have met a few times.

- Being pushy and trying to convince never works. Every man that's made a request to see me outside the club has said something like: "I'm not like the other guys here", "It'll be different with me", "I'll treat you like a queen", "We'll do whatever you want to do", etc... We've heard this all numerous times before so it carries little weight and doesn't impress.

In my opinion, strippers just aren't the best choice when looking for any kind of relationship outside the club. Our job is to dance and take your mind off things when you come in the club looking to unwind, and we are happy to oblige ;)

Madison

Lazy post-Christmas days

Hope everyone are enjoying the holiday season and festivities. Myself, I have to admit that I'm happy Christmas is over with. I love having an excuse to give presents to others, especially the kids in my family, and getting all together to celebrate and have fun. What I'm not too keen about is all the preparation and headaches that come along with it. Shopping for Christmas is done in the cold season (which I'm not too fond of) and when malls in general are busier. Of course, close to the holidays malls and stores are warzone and hell on earth! I love shopping for others but not amidst hundreds or even thousands of crazed shoppers who are more often than not, quite rude. The fun part of coordinating many events into a schedule of a few days, then getting to every one of them on time and with everything you're supposed to bring with you.

Phew! I'm happy the worst is done with. I never do anything big for New Years so I've been able to relax since Monday and have done so with much enjoyment ;) Actually, I've been quite lazy the past couple days enjoying quiet time at home relaxing and giving myself a nice holiday treat!

I do plan to go into work this week, most likely Thursday and maybe Friday as well. I appologize for not being as consistent with my schedule these days. It's my number one resolution for the new year I promise!

Best wishes to all
Madison

Holidays almost here!

Are you ready? I'm still not! I'm usually pretty good at getting all my holiday preparations (mostly shopping) done in early December. This year has been a different matter and I only started my shopping last Sunday! Not much more to do, hopefully will get everything done tomorrow (keeping my fingers crossed). I'm just not looking forward to the crowded stores, hopefully going early in the day will avoid the mad rushes.

I had a great day at work today (Tuesday) added a few of my new little pole tricks to my routine and got nice compliments and lots of applause :) It sure helped me be in a fantastic mood! I'm looking forward to adding more tricks as I get better with my pole practices.

I was happy to spend time with both Mr. Read and Mr. Burr again today, wonderful clients to talk to and to dance for. Both treat me nicely and they always get my day off to a great start.

I had the pleasure of dancing for another regular of mine Mr. Derb. Very sweet man who usually comes in near the end of my shift. Always a nice customer to finish the day with :)

Met a few other gentlemen I hadn't had the pleasure of meeting before, all were very pleasant and it made for a wonderful day at work. Nothing beats days like these: Being in a great mood, having the luck of seeing a few of my favorite regulars and meeting nice new clients.

I can't make it in on Wednesday this week but will be there Thursday 12:30-7:00pm.

Madison

To approach or not to approach

Really wasn't feeling well when I got up this morning so I decided it was best to stay home and get better quick. I much rather go to work being at my best than forcing myself and not being in the best of moods. I figure clients prefer it that way too ;)

Unless something big comes up, I should be in tomorrow at 12:30.

Now, let's talk about a much talked about stripper behaviour: The approach

I've heard many complaints from clients that strippers are often "uninviting" and don't come around to their table for a chat much. I'll give you my opinion on the matter and let you know how I feel about the subjet.

If things are going good, I am most happy to walk around and actively put myself out there. I'll make eye contact and smile, if it's returned I'll offer to sit down for some company. I enjoy it and have met many of my regular clients this way. My goal isn't to sell dances outright but to meet the clients and get to know each other a little. I never expect any dances but do appreciate it when a customer requests them ;) I've even managed to get dances from clients that didn't have the intention to and had said so before I sat down. I figure, if you seem nice and I could use a few minutes off my feet, why not spend it chatting with you. The three times it happened that customers warned me they weren't buying dances before I sat down, they all ended up asking for some themselves a few minutes later!!! Go figure

Needless to say, this seems to be a win-win situation for both me and the clients. I've sat and chatted with a few that didn't buy dances from me and that's fine. It really doesn't upset me in any way as it apparently does to some other dancers.

Now there are times (a few of them) where "walking the floor" isn't my thing and you'll see me sitting by myself near the bar or DJ booth. There are many different reasons but at no time am I uninterested to spend time with a client, I'm just not putting myself out there as much as I possibly can.

It can be that I'm in a shyer mood than usual or just don't feel in the mood for rejection. I know it's part of the job but sometimes it's easier to sit out for a little while and let people come to me. A big factor can be other dancers and the client to dancer ratio. For example, if I get a good start in my day while most others haven't made much, I'll lay low for a bit. It can get pretty catty on slow days and many don't make much so they will start complaining and targeting those who do make good business. On these days, it's best to let them walk the floor and lay low. It ends up paying off for me anyways because they're in a sour mood and clients often come looking for me who's in a good mood afterwards!

My shift consist of both working the floor and sitting out, some days more floor and other more sitting out. When I sit out though, I try and make myself approachable by sitting alone away from the VLTs and watch the stage show. I smile at customers walking by and try my best not to look bored or uninterested.

I can't say that it's the same approach as most other dancers but it works well for me. As they say, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"!

Madison

Stripper pole fun

Having my own pole to practice on at home is absolutely fantastic! I've been having fun trying new things and getting better aquainted with my stage prop, it does come at a price though. The toll on my body is definitely showing and making itself felt!

Luckily, after my first practice session last Tuesday I wasn't too sore on Wednesday (big surprise!). However, it kicked in later Wednesday night and Thursday I was really feeling it. It hasn't kept me from practicing of course, and my body is starting to get used to this new workout for the most part.

The soreness I can deal with but the bruises however... Well needless to say, they aren't very attractive... My inner thighs and knees are loaded with bruises, something I'll have fun covering up with makeup for work. It's a normal part of learning to do polework I'm told by many experienced dancers and it will stop in a few weeks when my skin and muscles toughen up some. Until then, rest assured that no one is harming me, it's the pole practice causing the bruises!

I'm planning to incorporate some of my new moves into my stages shows, finally a bit more diversity in my performances!

I'll be in on Monday and Wednesday this week, I'll post if I plan to work any other days later.

Madison

My week is off to a great start!

Went into work on Monday and had a great day even though it was surpringly quiet, probably the most quiet day I've worked so far. Even during the 2 for 1 specials on drinks times, it was much less than usual. A few clients dispersed throughout the club and one table of rowdy and loud guys.

After a minute or two after I've hit the floor, I was approached by a nice gentleman who asked if I was available for a private dance. I happily agreed and went with him. As we started, he warned me he was on his way out and could only stay for one song and was sorry he didn't have more time. I thought it was sweet and we had a nice although brief time.

Soon after, I notice Mr. Read sitting in his usual spot. A customer I've had the pleasure to chat and dance with before and that I enjoyed spending time with and consider one of my favorites. I'm happy to see he is alone and go say hello, I sit down and we start chatting. It's my turn to do my stage sets and ask him if he wants me to come back and see him afterwards to which he happily accepts. We chat a bit more and head off to the booths for some dances before he has to go. Danced for him a few songs which is always a pleasure and then he was off hoping to be on time for his appointment.

While sitting with Mr. Read earlier, I had seen that Mr. Burr had arrived and was also in his usual spot. He was currently busy chatting with another dancer so I hoped to have the chance to see him later if he was free.

Mr. Burr is another favorite customer of mine, always fun to talk to and a nice gentle man. After a little while, I see that he is free so I go sit with him and chat for a while. He suggest we go to the booths after a bit and we enjoy a few private dances together.

At this point I'm happy my day is off to such a good start considering it's so quiet and that I never expect regulars to choose me for dances all the time. I was lucky to also have danced for such nice men! I sat down for a feet break and to watch the stage shows for a while.

The club was quite empty at that point and there were quite a few girls working that day so I was happy to take it easy for a while. After already getting quite a few dances early while others mostly hadn't, I didn't want to approach the few customers there much and get the mega evil eyes, lol!

A client approached me later on and asked if I was free for dances. He seemed nice and I happily obliged. I never expected to end up spending an hour and a half dancing for him!!! He was quite pleasant and very appreciative of my dances. I danced a total of 18 songs for him! I was quite happy as he was a great customer to dance for let alone that he took so many dances. He seemed very content afterwards and we talked for a bit before I was due on stage again. Said he'd come back and see me again next week, it would be nice ;)

After my stage set I was getting a bit tired and my feet started aching. Along with many of the other girls not being too happy about me getting what seemed to be all the good customers that day, I laid really low till the end of my shift.

Monday was a good day for me and it sure helps starting a week off with.

I was planning to go in Tuesday, was up early slowly getting ready when the stripper pole I ordered arrived earlier than I had anticipated. It's a very nice removable pole from Platinum Stages that I had been dying to get my hands on to practice some pole tricks and moves. I couldn't resist not playing with it so I decided to stay home instead to set it up and start practicing :)

It's a beautiful pole and I'm extatic to finally have it. Pole work is deceptively hard though and I'm already sore from the practicing today and also earned a few bruises too! It's great fun though and I look forward to getting better with it over time.

I'm praying I won't be a total wreck when I wake up tomorrow. I'm sure I've puller or over exerted quite a few muscles today, lol!

Madison

Introduction

Hello and welcome to my little online journal. I'll start things off with a little intro and give you a better idea of who I am and what this blog is about.

I live in Montreal, a wonderful city which I never expect to leave aside from vacations. Yes it's quite cold in the winter time but nothing can beat the great nightlife and the open minded influence of the french culture, especially concerning erotic affairs ;)

I've recently started working as a stripper and honestly am loving it! I had tried stripping on a couple of occasions a while back but it didn't seem to click with me then. I had no problem with dancing nude on stage or giving lap dances but I did have a hard time with the long (and often late) hours and the toll it took on my feet and body.

Being unhappy with my multiple office job experiences, I decided to give stripping another shot. I've always loved being in strip clubs as a client myself and liked the dancing before, so I started preparin myself for another try. From my last experiences, I learned that I definitely needed practice walking and dancing in 6" heels and needed to build up some endurance in my legs for a full shift of dancing.

For a week I practiced every day, wearing my heels for a few hours and dancing to tone and strengthen my legs. I started going through some songs that I had to chose which would be good for my stage sets. I did some research online to find a club that would suit my needs, after making a few calls I had an appointment with a manager to start dancing at a local club.

My first day I was shown around the club and explained the rules. I liked this club much more than the other two I had tried at in terms of work atmosphere. The staff was very nice and helpful and some dancers friendly. My first day was a success in pretty much every possible way. The practice paid off and I wasn't a total wreck by the end of my shift. Every one was stunned that it was my "first" day dancing and that it looked like I had been dancing for a while (stage sets were good, looked comfortable, got many complements!). I made good money and best of all, I felt good working at this club. Needless to say, I wasn't planning on going back to an office job anytime soon!

It's been a bit over a month since my stripping debut and it's still as good as the first day. I won't pretend it's always fun and games, I have met my fair share of unpleasant customers, but there are plenty good ones to make everything worth it. You'll soon be reading about my daily experiences so check back soon to get the nitty gritty details about my workdays ;)

I know, I know... You want details!!!
Here they are :)

I am a petite woman standing only 5' tall and weighing just under 100 lbs. I have curly blond shoulder length hair and blue eyes. I am known to be quite friendly and am almost always smiling. As a stripper, I consider myself the slow sensual type especially on stage.

I work dayshifts (1pm to 7pm) at Cafe Cleopatra's here in Montreal. One of the perks of this job is very flexible schedules so I don't have set days that I work on although I try my best to be there on Mondays and Wednesdays. I generally work between 2 and 4 weekday shifts for the time being. I'll update my schedule here promptly if there are any changes.

My prefered customer? Someone respectful and looking to have some fun.

Major turn offs: Trying to see me outside the club, especially when it's the first thing brought up in a conversation. Expecting unreasonable things from a lapdance (DATY, HJ, BJ, FS, etc...). Not respecting my boundaries, if I say no it means NO!

Major turn ons: Pleasant conversation and flirting, someone who during a lapdance touches and caresses me in nice ways respecting normal limits. Someone who enjoys the experience and is not distracted by work, guilt or something else. Someone who enjoys getting a few lapdances at once. Being offered a drink. Tips are not expected but most certainly welcome and a sure sign to me that my time and dance was much appreciated.

Well now, I didn't think I'd ramble on for so long! I'll be adding a pic or two shortly to give a you teensie idea of what I look like. In the meantime, we'll just have to cross paths at the club ;)

Madison
